To determine how much power this will add to your telescope, simply divide the focal length by the mm length of the eyepiece. For instance, a telescope with a 400mm focal length used with this 17.5mm eyepiece will produce approximately twenty-three power (23x) of magnification. When you add the Barlow, you'll get approximately forty-six power (46x) of magnification.
