Join Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman as they debunk, decode and demystify pop culture's most baffling urban myths and legends. Using modern-day science, they put each myth to the test, separating the real from the really out there.
Jamie and Adam explore the incredible and seemingly impossible myth of a WWII turret gunner who fell 22,000 feet – only to be saved by the explosion of a thousand pound bomb beneath him, which cushioned his fall.
After confessing their worries of the sheer gravity of this experiment, Adam and Jamie set off for the desert with enough glass and steel to build a replica 'French Train Station' and enough high explosives to blow up a small provincial village. With a support crew of bomb technicians, the county fire service (including a helicopter carrying a load of water!) and some willing volunteers, Adam and Jamie do what they do best – make a big BOOM!
