I am very disappointed with this product. This is the second set I have purchased. I thought the first set contained a bad batch of gum base but the second batch is exactly the same. The base does not heat and create a consistency that is workable. It takes serveral attempts to even soften it. This was for a science fair project but did not work out. I would not recommend this to anyone.

I bought this for my 7 year old for a Christmas gift and was very disappointed. After putting the gum base in the microwave for over 3 minutes it finally melted. The rest was just a mess. She was upset with the result and it is not worth the money. I would not recommend this product.

Very disappointed in this product. Like many other customers, the gum base would not melt and when it finally did, it was WAY to hot to work with. I ruined a mixed spoon and pastry mat trying to keep my work area clean. When we finally got the gum to a decent consistency and cut it out, there was very little flavor (even though we added it) and it was just awful. My daughter is now completely discouraged and I think it was a waste of time and $$.

I echo those above who bought this product recently. My gum base wont mel, in fact the more we microwaved it, the harder it got! This was one of the main things my son wanted for christmas. And he was bummed that it didnt work. I am hoping to remedy the problem, and actually get it to work. It seems that those who bought it before December didnt have many problems. Perhaps this is a summer activity!

disappointed with results. Didnt work according to directions and ruined measuring cup. Wouldnt recommend this product to anyone. This is the only item Ive ever ordered from you that hasnt been up to standard. I ordered this for an 8 year old.

This was a complete and total waste of money. It was very challenging to make and tasted terrible. Took a lot longer than thought and was not an easy venture.

Dont bother!! Great idea - in theory. The "gum" that you make is horrible and tastes like tar. Nasty stuff!!

My young son and I tried this twice and were disappointed both times. The directions specified how long certain steps would take - none were accurate. The gum smelled bad when it was cooking and tasted the same way when finished, despite the added flavorings. I would not recommend this product.

I bought one for my 5- y.o.son, and he loved it. The gum took about 2 min to melt,instead of the expected 30 seconds, but in all the rest the "factory" worked perfectly. Great idea!

Maybe mine had old gum base or something, it was very hard and kept having to be microwaved at least 10 times to make it manageable. Also 15 minutes is a long time to kneed the gum for a kid. Next time I think Ill buy some gum, microwave it roll it out and cut that. My daughter said to me, "I cant believe we bought that!" So much for my little Willie Wonka!

I teach kindergarten and we did a unit on the rain forest. Chicle comes from the rain forest so we used this product and made bubble gum. Wow, was it a hit! GREAT PRODUCT!

We were all very disappointed with this product. My 10 year old was very frustrated, as was I, when after repeatedly following the instructions carefully, we couldnt even make the gum pliable, let alone chew it. It smelled horribly too! Beware, this will also harden and ruin dishware! I do commend this store for their wonderful customer service and great return policy!
