I was difficult to launch initially, but after several tries and an extra o-ring we eventually got it to launch. It flew about 100-150 ft. into the air on most launches. The kids loved it and even the one-year-old enjoyed yelling "bassoff!" (blast-off). Unfortunately there are some problems: 1. It actually takes about 3 minutes to launch. We have small children and they get bored waiting for the lauch. 2. There are were still "dud" launches even after we figured out its quirks. 3. It eats batteries. 4. Within about three weeks of occasional use, the nose cone blew out. The resulting pop was so loud that it left my ears tingling for about 10 minutes afterwards.

MAJOR problem: we are teaching our children about alternative energies and living green by purchasing a rocket built in CHINA, a country where progress is won at the expense of the environment. Very dissapointing.

We followed the directions precisely, but we could not get it to work. No bubbles appeared, so no hydrogen was being produced.

I purchased this item last christmas for my 11 year old son. We followed all directions and the rocket failed to launch. We finally got one, and only one, rocket to launch after multiple tries. It has never worked again. Hydrogen fuel is a neat concept unfortunately we didnt get to experience it.
